Dr Petros Tsafrakidis is a Consultant Urological Surgeon in Limassol Cyprus with a specialist interest in BPH surgical treatment and minimally invasive innovations (MISTs), andrology and urethral reconstruction.
He is an honorary lecturer at St Andrews University Medical School, UK.
He has introduced the Urolift procedure in NHS Scotland and lead the first purely out-patient based Urolift Service in Europe.
He also has a keen interest in KTP (180W) green light prostatectomy and Rezum and he is a certified user.
He is a strong advocate of simulation training for the improvement of surgical skills of urology trainees and along-side his colleagues in Fife had been co-organizing the annual Fife BPH simulation day for Scottish urology trainees.
He is a tutor of the BPH minimal invasive technologies section for the Urology ChM at the University of Edinburgh.
Male sexual health, erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism, Peyronie’s disease management and urethral reconstruction are also in his interests.
