Dr. Joyce Baard is Consultant Urologist at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) University hospital in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where she completed her Urology residency. Her medical degree was completed at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
Dr. Baard’s main fields of interest are the endourologic treatment of stones and upper tract urothelial tumors. Regarding these tumors, she is especially focused on new imaging and diagnostic techniques in close cooperation with the Biomedical Engineering department of the AMC.
She is an active participant in the Endourology Masterclasses organised by the AMC in collaboration with the Tenon Hospital in Paris. These Masterclasses were started to exchange knowledge and skills with participating colleagues. She is a member of various urological societies including the Société Internationale d’Urologie and the American Urological Association.
