Dr. Petr Macek is a Consultant Urologist at L’Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris, France. He received his MD and PhD from the Charles University Prague in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic, where he also completed his residency training in Urology. He then pursued a fellowship in Urology at St. Vincent’s Hospital and St. Vincent’s Private Hospital in Sidney, Australia, and in Robotic and Laparoscopic Urology at L’Institut Mutualiste Montsouris.
Dr. Macek is an active member of the European Association of Urology (EAU), Société Internationale d’Urologie (SIU), American Urological Association (AUA), and Czech Urological Society. His main areas of interest are renal cancer, prostate cancer, and upper urinary tract urothelial cancer; minimally invasive, robot-assisted, and laparoscopic surgery and reconstruction; and imaging in urology. He has published on these topics in several journals, such as Progrès en Urologie, Current Urology Reports, International Brazilian Journal of Urology, European Urology, and European Urology Focus.
