Dr. Rahim Horuz was born in 1976 in Turkey. He graduated from Marmara University School of Medicine, Istanbul, in 2001, and completed his urology residency program in Kartal Training-Research Hospital, Istanbul, from 2002–2006.
As a urology specialist, Dr. Horuz worked at Osmaniye State Hospital, Turkey, serving the Ministry of Health until 2010. Between 2010 and 2012, he was the Assistant Chief in the Urology Department of Kartal Training-Research Hospital, Turkey. Since 2012, Dr. Horuz has been working at the Urology Department of the Istanbul Medipol University, Turkey, where his work is mostly dedicated to the fields of uro-oncology and reconstructive urology. He is particularly interested in perineal procedures (perineal radical prostatectomy and urethroplasty) as well as robotic and focal treatments in prostate cancer.
