He was born in Erzurum in 1961. He has graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine in 1985 and completed his residency training in urology in 1991. He became an Associate Professor of urology in 1994. He has been in MD Anderson Cancer Center in 1996 for one month as an observer consultant urologic surgeon. And, he has been for a urethral surgery course in Hadera Hilel Yaffe Medical Center /Israil as an observer in 1998. He has been appointed as a Chief of Urology Clinic at Kartal Training and Research Hospital/İstanbul in 2001. He was promoted to Professor of Urology in 2006. He served as Head of Kartal Training and Research Hospital between 2003-2006, and as Director of Istanbul Helath between 2013-2016
He has experiences on Perineal and Urethral surgery . He has performed Perineal Radical Prostatectomy over 1000 cases, urethral surgery over 600 cases between 2002-2018. He has edited a book on Perineal Radical Prostatectomy technic. He has given numerous courses and lectures on Perineal Surgery in Turkey. He has pioneered in Robotic Perineal Radical Prostatectomy. He has been invited for performing live surgery and to give a lecture on Perineal Radical Prostatectomy in New Delhi/India in 2018.
He has contributed to more than 10 book chapters, has more than 150 academic papers publisher in the national and international journals. He has also participated and contributed in the scientific and administrative committees of numerous national conferences and congress.
Professor Albayrak is one of the founders and currently Chairman of Euroasian Urooncological Association. He carries out the membership of Urology Curriculum Commission under the Turkish Ministry of Health. Professor Albayrak has currently been working as the chairman of Department of Urology in İstanbul Medipol University.
